Our journey consists of two phases: we begin to explore the jewels of the Indus Valley during the initial days and then we make it to the Pangong Tso Lake, located on the Tibetan Plateau Changtang.
The Indus Valley, which offers fabulous vastness and harsh landscapes punctuated by green oases, is the major axis of Ladakh. Around it, many colorful paintings of everyday life in Ladakhi Buddhist and Tibetan cultural are dominant. It is in the Indus Valley that the most prestigious monasteries of Ladakh exist, including Lamayuru. These gompas are decorated with splendid frescoes that discuss the many aspects of the currents of thought.
Rupshu is the Indian side of the Tibetan Changtang, located in eastern Ladakh. The landscapes are infinitely beautiful and bright, and the spaces are vast and wild life is intense.
This trip caters to anyone in good physical condition.

Morning departure for Leh. On the way, visit monasteries and Matho Chemre. Rest of the day will be free. Overnight in guest house. Monastery Chemre is impressive and off the beaten track. This is a true city built on a rocky outcrop of sand color, like a mirage in the middle of the plains. It is mainly its architecture that makes it unique. It served as a backdrop for a superb film Samsara. Matho: built on a hill with a wonderful view over the valley of the Indus, is the only Ladakhi monastery of the Saskyapa Order. It was built by the great Lama Tungpa Dorjey in the 15th century. The 1Day 5 of the first Tibetan month, a festival is held that allows two deities to incarnate in the monks, who, after a period of trance make oracles for many people in Ladakh (and beyond).
